A thank you to the community
On behalf of Chappy WISP (mvWiFi, llc) and my family, I would like to acknowledge the tireless effort put into bringing cell service to Chappy. This includes the Chappy Cell Committee, Edgartown Board of Selectmen, Edgartown IT Department, and the Edgartown Police and Fire Chiefs. The temporary cell tower being erected by Cotton Tree on behalf of AT&T is the first step towards a long-term solution. The support of the community, Edgartown Planning Board, and the Martha's Vineyard Commission has made this step possible.
As the solution provider for wireless Internet on Chappy, Chappy WISP is honored to be participating in this endeavor as the host site. Our tower will continue to operate alongside the AT&T tower to provide wireless coverage for all residents and visitors on Chappy. We will continue to work with AT&T and the Town towards a long-term solution for wireless communication on Chappy requiring only a single tower.
